The Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenge this week is to consider not just the size of something, but also that special element: the “wow factor” of a scene or subject that makes a picture so stunning.
This cheeky looking chap may not be ‘grand’ in size, but I reckon he definitely has the ‘wow’ factor. The grey squirrels which inhabit the trees lining Government Avenue in Cape Town are a delight. They were introduced by Cecil Rhodes in 1890. These are larger than their European counterparts and the Garden’s oak trees and plenty of water channels offer a perfect habitat.

Love this “grand” little fellow, Jude! What a great capture. 🙂
Thanks Cathy, the squirrels are very friendly there 🙂
Nice squirrel shot Jude. Like the nut in the mouth, the tail hair, and the eye!
Regards as always, Pete. x
Cheers Pete. I managed to get a few decent squirrel photos there, but this one was the grandest 🙂
