Ailsa wants to hop on a plane right now, but instead she will make do with a few sky shots. If you would like to join in (everyone’s welcome!) click here:
Hope you like my Crepuscular rays taken over the Cumbrian Fells. These are the radiating beams of sunlight that appear to burst from behind a Cumulus cloud, or shine down through a hole in a Stratocumulus. This was later followed by a rainbow.
Nothing quite like a big sky Jude, and these are good shots indeed. We have had some amazing sunsets here the last few days. Norfolk does benefit from have a ‘bigger sky’ than many places! Almost made me want to get the camera out again. Almost…X
Been too cloudy here the last few days to see a sunset, but on Tuesday there was a lovely pink sky – can’t see it from the house though so I need to go out to try and capture one!
Like your capsular rays….
They are so interesting aren’t they? So difficult to capture though.
Indeed! Crepuscular …. I said capsular, didn’t I? Oops… 🙂
Beautiful photos, Jude. I especially love the “Rainbow over the Fells.” 🙂
This was taken from the cottage we rented. It was in the most beautiful landscape. Quite remote.
It looks absolutely stunning. 🙂
In highschool the teacher taught us, these sunbeams are the only straight lines in nature…
Sunbeams – I like it 🙂
