is over 800 years old, 76m tall and 9m round. It was over 300 years old when Christopher Columbus arrived in America in 1492. Douglas fir trees are Canada’s oldest living tree species and can live to be over 1000 years

  1. This prompt brought trees to my mind too, though your photo is much better, and the trees you found much older! I snapped and posted some shots of the 100-year-old oaks in my yard. Tall majestic trees surely do embody longevity.
