My immediate thought was of buildings as they are full of right angles and, in attics or lofts, acute angles – I should know as I bang my head regularly in my bedroom under the eaves!
Sissinghurst Castle Gardens
I finally settled on this imposing Elizabethan tower with its octagonal turrets on a National Trust site in Kent, set within beautiful gardens created in the 1930s by the poet and novelist Vita Sackville-West and her husband Harold Nicolson.
Famous for the ‘White Garden’ and ‘Rose Garden’ these gardens are a beautiful and tranquil place to wander around as there are several interesting garden ‘rooms’. It can get very busy as there are lots of coach parties visiting especially in the summer months. Usually much quieter late in the afternoon once the large parties have left.
