A Word A Week Challange: Parade

We arrived in San Francisco in February 2010 on the day of the Chinese New Year parade (Year of the Tiger) so having dumped the suitcases in the Argonaut on Fisherman’s Wharf we headed back to the city centre to observe the preparations of various bands and participants and then took our places on Post Street to watch the floats go by. We loved the dancing lions and the kindergarten children dressed up as little tigers, the different bands and the dancing. The fire crackers were loud and the elaborate costumes colourful. A great experience!
